Frequently led teams of analysts for the purpose of gathering data from „face“ interviews and analyzed this data to prepare for further deliberation with domain knowledge experts Identified a specific need for NLP models (topic modeling, topic analysis, sentiment analysis) and built these models from scratch – garnering value from datasets that were previously unusable

Frequently briefed various statistical concepts and machine learning/AI capabilities to clients new to such concepts

2021- 2021 Data Scientist | Consultant WWC Global, JB Andrews

Provided analytical support to strategic planners and programmers at the headquarters level to help write original, guiding, strategic documents

PROJECTS

The Titanic Disaster: A supervised learning classification problem I approached in Python with three methods: Naive Bayes, Logistic Regression, and Support Vector Machines

A Warning in Time Series: Used time series analysis, regression, and statistical modeling to forecast COVID rates ten days into the future based on past data

China Anxiety: Used a Python based web scraper to collect data on occurrence of „china“ in defense headlines and scanned these articles for „buzzwords“ which were grouped into six categories. Cleaned data in R, and performed several informative queries in SQL after putting data into a MySQL database.

Twitter Defense: Mined Twitter data and performed LDA Analysis on a test set of „flagged“ tweets enabling an algorithm to catch tweets pertaining to certain topics in real-time.
