ASM Foods in Mjölby is part of the Barry Callebaut Group, and focuses on developing and producing customized fillings and coatings for the bakery, confectionery, dairy and ice cream industries. The site in Mjölby has two production facilities – one designed to produce water based products such as caramels, fruit fillings, and other sauces, and the other designed to produce fat based products such as chocolate and compound coatings and fillings. Our production is agile and flexible, facilitating great new opportunities and creative product development.

ASM Foods are on a journey where you will play an important part to create the future of our quality work and standard. Your role includes to coordinate implementation and follow up of different activities within quality and food safety. The QA department consists of 9 members with different roles. Your role will be based at the water-based department. The Quality Coordinator works closely with production as well as other functions like supply chain, R&D and customer care. You will have contact both locally but also with regional functions as well as customers from time to time. You will contribute to the work within continuous improvement and making sure we always improve our quality standards.


The main task is handling complaints and near misses in the water-based factory. You play an important role in the Root Cause analysis team and also in analyzing trends in this area.

  • Promote quality awareness and commitment to quality across the unit
  • Provide advice and support to the business relating to quality matters and process improvement
  • Support unit readiness for internal and external audits
  • Performs trouble shooting and corrective action follow-up of non-conformities
  • Maintain compliance to best practices, regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Continuously improve and keep routines and procedures up to date. Making sure our internal quality routines follows different policies and standards (GMP, FSSC 22000 etc)
  • Develop and present specific quality trainings as needed for other employees at the site
  • Responsible for our environmental monitoring program and following trends


Professional qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master’s degree in Food Science/Biology/Microbiology/Chemistry/Engineering or similar, preferably in a food science discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience from quality assurance, preferably in the food business but also within chemical or pharmaceutical is seen positive
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in successfully implementing quality assurance programs
  • Knowledge about FSSC 22000 or another GFSI standard
  • Experience within HACCP, GMP’s and food legislation
  • Root cause analysis, Factory Quality, Production Support experience is preferred
  • Solid skills in Google environment, ERP (SAP, Axapta) tools preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Swedish and English (speaking, writing and reading)

  • Location: Mjölby, Sweden
