Software engineer with interest in IoT (f/m/x)
Location: Vienna, Austria
Our team delivers the next generation of railway route control building blocks for railway operation systems, incorporating state-of-the-art software and system engineering practices within an international team of experts.
As part of the product development team for route control you are responsible for the development of building blocks for the next generation of our railway operation products with particular focus on IoT aspects.
Full stack development to fulfill the wide spectrum of IoT development
Rapid prototyping on innovation projects
Open source guided development on inner source environment
Collaboration in an agile international team and in cooperation with other Thales units
Technical education, preferably Master studies in Computer Science or similar
Around 3 years of relevant experience
Experience with the full lifecycle of a software development project in a DevSecOp environment: design, development, module testing, verification, deployment and maintenance
You are a customer-oriented team player with the following technical competence
Background in modern SW development, languages, tools and environments (e.g. Java, Python)
Security awareness in system design
Continuous build and integration
SW/HW integration of embedded systems
Experience in cybersecurity on communication and OS level
Development of safety critical systems
Technical know-how on railway domain
Experience in agile methodology
Fluency in English

The legal minimum remuneration for this position is 43.316 g.p.a (IT KV). Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification and may comprise a significant overpayment.
