Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide second level of support to Regional Field Service team in close collaboration with central Product Service Engineering team
  • Partner with Regional Field Service team to manage large scope service projects, on NPI’s and the first few instances, until a solid template is built and training is defined to hand those activities over to FSE team for volume production
  • Partner with Regional Field Service team and Trainers on the training plan, facilitating completion of competence skill matrix as planned;
  • Plan, monitor and control execution of Preventive Maintenance, recall campaigns, field upgrades and retrofits; build and keep current a quarterly and a 12 months’ rolling plan of the above, and partner with Service Fulfilment team to provide them with quarterly spare parts forecast
  • Partner with the central Product and Customer Management team and with EMEA Sales Team to continuously increase the number of Service Agreements, to support key deals, to keep special focus on top regional customers relationships and contribute to business growth through generating long-term relationships with customers
  • Partner with the central Product Service Engineering team and Quality Team to provide inputs on customer disruptions reduction, on improvement of our 3D metal printing systems MTBF, MTTR, reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, on designing CSB/TSB/ISB/flash news
  • Control and monitor corrective/preventive actions deployment and CSB/TSB/ISB acceptance rate on regional Installed Base, as defined by central Product Service Engineering team and Quality team
  • Understand customer process and application requirements acting as a liaison with SME’s to support customers in their Additive journey with GE and continuously, helping customers on their journey in the Metal Additive Manufacturing production and operations, in Aerospace and Automotive

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
  • >3 years’ experience on Mlab and M2
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and to manage complex projects in the field
  • Available to travel
  • EU Work Permit

Desired Characteristics

  • M.S. Material Science Engineering
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience on large envelop 3D metal printers
  • Design for Additive Manufacturing
  • Statistical Analysis and Process Control
  • Process Development and improvement
  • Lean approach/mindset for the Industrial production
