Job description: Deliver on the Advanced Prep strategy for customer EHS and sustainability requests, prequalifications and audits, ensuring that the business is in good standing for commercial bids that differentiate us to our customers.

Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Customer EHS Prequal Package and procedures to reflect the Gas Power-specific responses on sustainability, management systems, metrics reporting and compliance.

Position the team to deliver successful EHS approvals and audits required by customer 3rd party accounts (e.g. ISN, Avetta, Browz, Achilles, etc.) and implement a strategy to streamline and consolidate 3rd party account structures to realize cost-out opportunities.

Lead and support the EHS ITO team to deliver a unified risk-based approach in providing technical EHS expertise to commercial teams in order to identify and mitigate commercial and execution risks.

Support Inquiry to Remittance (ITR) teams on project evaluation and execution and identify Advanced Prep and ITO improvement opportunities.

Lead the business implementation of the Contractor Management Digital Tool (ComplyWorks) and priorities related to contractor prequalification, pre-mobilization, execution, auditing and performance evaluation to meet the corporate enterprise standards, drive competency and risk reduction across the project lifecycle.

Partner with Sourcing to lead and operationalize the Contractor and Partner qualification approval process, by embedding tollgates into existing Gas Power Sourcing policies, onboarding and Purchase Order (PO) systems.

Participate on the cross-business ComplyWorks Governance Board and Mission Based Teams to execute the ComplyWorks Scope of Work (SOW) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as implement enhanced functionality (e.g. mobile app, master project, Tasks, Permit To Work, data analysis, dashboards, etc.).

Functional Leader for the development of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) machine learning digital tool Contractor Document Assessment (CDA) for assessment of contractor documents against the GE EHS criteria, the user interface, digital thread with ComplyWorks and tool performance.

Lead the development of standard work methods, simplification and improvements with Advanced Prep, ITO EHS programs, processes, tools and training to continue to meet the dynamic needs of internal and external customers.

Support the implementation of the business EHS digital strategy, digital tools, mobile app deployment and the development of data analytics dashboards.

Integrate and apply lean principles to the Advanced Prep, ITO and EHS COE priorities. Enable teams to enhance problem solving, identify root causes and determine the impact of countermeasures to achieve and sustain results.

Lead EHS program improvements and business EHS priorities related to Events Management, Root Cause analysis (RCA), PSEs (Potentially Severe Events), EHS procedures development, environmental media, compliance, governance audits, ENHESA and framework deployment and other EHS COE priorities.


Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Engineering, Science or equivalent related discipline, or equivalent experience

Strong knowledge of project management

Advanced experience leading EHS or Sustainability in an organization or region

English fluency

Desired Characteristics

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Science/Engineering/EHS or related discipline) or equivalent experience

Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and other responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities and to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on available information,

Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as organizations outside GE (customers, partners and regulatory agencies)

Proven ability to collaborate, influence and drive priorities across cross-functional teams
