Job description: Reporting to the Hemisphere Total Rewards Leader, the Regional Total Rewards Manager will not work only as a member of the GE Aviation Total Rewards team, but also as a project leader. They will take the lead on projects from their initial idea to implementation that align with the business plans, goals and objectives of GE Aviation and our clients.

Essential Responsibilities

Helps manage Regional reward strategy through development and management of policies, programs and procedures with multi-country or regional impact.

Develop, manage, and review compensation and benefits portfolios in each country, taking into consideration market requirements, state and federal regulations as well as benefit rules and regulations for the different countries to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Design and manage competitive salary structures, market pricing and establish and formulate business case and recommendations for stakeholder approval.

Support the company’s annual compensation cycle and lead the execution of those processes with special focus on Europe.

Provides benefit program benchmarking, renewals and tendering process (broker-facilitated or as project lead).

Manage relationships with external vendors on a regional level such as insured programs providers, broker partners.

Partner with Global Compensation Practices team to achieve effective implementation and delivery of global compensation programs locally.

Lead regional pay equity initiatives.

Proactively review company processes to achieve streamlining and increased efficiency.

Collaborate with HRMs and leadership on delivery of unique projects generated by business requirements.

Strong cooperation and partnership with other functions within Aviation and across other GE Businesses

Participates in divestiture and post-merger integration projects across the Region as they arise.

Deliver Total reward education sessions within the region to develop and enhance HR competency on topics like reward programs, policies, tools and benefits. Provide induction briefings to all new HR team members on such topics.

Provide accurate and timely advice to HR and Operations management on the appropriate total rewards strategy, and correct policy application.

Support HRBPs in development of complex compensation proposals.

Grant approvals in line with company’s approval matrix.

Contribute to broader global projects as required following Lean-based standard methodologies.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor of Art, Science or Business Administration

Previous direct experience in compensation and benefits or HR client management with multinational companies or large corporations at corporate/regional/global level

Knowledge of Compensation & Benefits either as a technical expert or through experience by support a client group

Lean working knowledge and experience

Working knowledge of an additional language(s) would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite

Location: Italy, site with a significant GE Aviation presence

EU Work Permit

Fluent in Italian and English

Desired Characteristics

Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and develop others through coaching and mentoring

Strong track record in developing and conducting projects unilaterally in all stages – planning, kick off, work coordination, proposal, implementation and handover to local HR.

Able to work independently by leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others and operating within a defined budget.

Experience in providing independent technical guidance and counsel to HR stakeholders at various level of experience and hierarchy in the organization. Ability to adapt advisory style and tailor final products to target audiences.

Detail and numerical orientated with good analytical and problem-solving skills

Articulate, adaptable, with excellent inter-personal and cross-cultural skills

Understanding of finance for business.

Eye for detail, confidence to challenge and ask questions

Can-do attitude with a strong sense of accountability as well as interdependence

Ability to work under broad or limited supervision

Logical, structured and process-orientated thinking

Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint; quick adaptability to systems, tools and processes
