Job Description: PositionAs real estate legal specialist you are responsible for handling the domestic legal issues of real estate with occasional support in other legal matters.Your daily work includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases and various other types of store related agreements (e.g. with building contractors, suppliers of store materials, maintenance and security companies, etc.), advising on lease issues and handling claims, addressing public law matters (e.g. environmental permit, zoning plan), and , provide legal training to your colleagues always ensuring the alignment with the local regulation and the Company´s policies.. In addition, you will provide support where necessary on any other domestic legal matter.Your position will be based at the country office, but (partly) remote working is possible. RequirementsThis is youIn order to be successful in this role, you must have at least the following qualifications and skills:

  • Master of laws (LL.M.) degree from a Spanish university and at least 4 years of relevant work experience as an attorney or inhouse lawyer.
  • Knowledge of and experience with commercial (property) tenancy law and related legal topics (inter alia relevant elements of environmental law and spatial planning law).
  • Knowledge of and experience with (other types of) commercial contracts and issues of varying nature and/or corporate law is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent drafting skills with good balance between attention to detail and big picture thinking.
  • Strong business sense, decisive and ability to make judgment calls.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic and ability to follow through.
  • Great communication and negotiation skills, the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Fluent (written and verbal) in Spanish and English.
