We are recruiting a talented Privacy Specialist to our EU Privacy Office team. Our team works as an integral part of the business and is involved in the day-to-day operations across the whole business area and geographical scope of Huawei Mobile Services EU to ensure that privacy of our customers is respected.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments and privacy reviews of services (B2C and B2B) and upgrades as well as identify privacy risks, develop mitigation solutions in close co-operation with product teams and monitor mitigation status.
  • Support and advise our business and marketing teams located across the Europe on all matters surrounding data protection/privacy related to day-to-day business operations.
  • Draft and negotiate data protection agreements (DPAs) and other privacy related agreement terms.
  • Plan and deliver privacy training as well as improve general privacy awareness.
  • Support handling requests from data subjects and our partners.
  • Maintain records of processing and data inventories.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining privacy steering documents, processes and guidelines.
  • Participate in privacy related projects, initiatives and assignments.
  • Follow developments related to threat landscape, market practices, regulation and legal practices, authority views as well as incidents related to privacy and regularly share the insights with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in law or you are soon finalizing your degree.
  • Preferably at least one year working experience related to data protection/privacy within the EU/EEA (e.g. in a law firm, consultancy company or as in-house privacy professional or legal counsel).
  • Expert knowledge of the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) .
  • Strong interest to learn and develop in the field of data protection/privacy.
  • Independent, result oriented and business minded way of working as well as capability to work in a multicultural working environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, set work priorities based on risks and manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken.

This position is located in Ruoholahti, Helsinki, Finland. This is a one year fixed-term contract position, contract may be renewed after the first year.
