Turbomachinery & Process Solutions (TPS) operates across 120 countries and serves the entire energy value-chain and industrial sector. We hold an extensive portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow, transmission technology and lifecycle services for O&G and energy transition technologies. Our Mechanical Engineering team use cutting-edge technology to design compressors and expanders and rotating equipments.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you’ll be responsible for the mechanical detailed design of rotating equipments. You’ll assure balance between design flexibility needs and strict product standardization adoption leading supply chain goals accomplishment, cost-out strategies‘ implementation, site installation/service support.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining train layout of driven compressor trains, including 3D modelling ( this will include study for onshore/ offshore installation and floating system)
  • Develop equipment for green Hydrogen Compression or CCUS or Combined Cycle onshore/ offshore or FPSO or supercritical Co2 (sCO2) cycle
  • Issuing technical documentation of assigned jobs, guaranteeing quality, completeness, consistency and alignment with customer and internal standards.
  • Designing of mechanical components, performing the necessary calculations for systems sizing and components selection
  • Leading technical alignment with customers in the developments phase and support the manufacturing team during assembly and realization phase
  • Being part of a team focused on development products dedicated to Quality and continuous improvement aspects.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Energy Engineering with relevant work experience in Engineering/Technology.
  • Be able to use design/modelling software such as parametric 3D CAD (NX or similar) and 2D
  • Have a solid background about all the engineering topics and willingness to strength them
  • Have a basic knowledge of industrial manufacturing process and materials
  • Show knowledge of International Standard and capability to model physic behavior through specific tools (ANSYS, Matlab/Simulink)
  • Be a clear thinker: Make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information
  • Show interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with different levels of the organization and external Customers
  • Be fluent both in English and Italian and hold an EU work permit
