We have an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional to join the Building Construction Products (BCP) team at Caterpillar. If you enjoy driving customer awareness and engagement through events, campaigns and promotions, this could be the role for you. In this role, you will have responsibility for the BCP customer events strategy for EAME, including Sales Virtual Events, New Product Introduction (NPI) launch events, the Caterpillar Roadshow, the “Operator Challenge” competition, and international Tradeshows. You will also directly support some key dealers with the development and execution of their marketing plans in the framework of Dealer Marketing Partnership Programs.

Specifically, in this role, you are expected to:

  • Develop and execute the marketing events strategy for EAME including specific objectives across different segments and customer groups
  • Lead our sales virtual events strategy and coordinate the execution with our dealers
  • Lead and organize New Product Introduction (NPI) launch events in the region
  • Coordinate regional marketing events with Marcom Managers from the EAME Region dealerships like roadshows, open days or demo days
  • Successfully engage key EAME dealers in Dealer Marketing Partnerships that deliver on impressions, leads and sales
  • Maximize sales lead collection during the physical and virtual events
  • Measure and report performance of customers events
  • BCP lead of the Operator Challenge for EAME
  • Responsible for budget management and control
  • Manage marketing and creative agencies
  • Define disruptive marketing strategy for product / retail / services promotion via physical & virtual customer experience including major tradeshows
  • Analyze industry trends and the competitive environment

The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Marketing, Digital, Communication, or General Business.
  • At least 5 years progressively responsible experience in Marcom and Customer Events organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple projects management
  • Strong Business Acumen to measure ROI
  • Must have strong writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with people across many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences
  • Strong organizational, planning and communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Fluent in English and at least one other major language (French, German, Italian, Russian, Arabic,..)

This position requires up to 30% travel (when COVID allows)

Top candidates will also bring:

  • Digital Marketing preferably in B2B
  • Experience working with dealers for marketing initiatives execution
  • Knowledge about CRM software such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • An understanding of construction industry, products, technologies, services and its customers
