Engineering for Acoustics (m/f/d)

The person hired for the position of Specialist Application Engineering Acoustics will be a member in our global technical team providing support to automotive OEMs and related tier suppliers in identifying and implementing successful solutions for Acoustics regarding E-Mobility.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Developing and replicating high impact applications for electrified vehicles with our existing core product portfolio of ThinsulateTM absorber and Engineered Damping Material for automotive OEMs and tiers by determining key performance requirements, participating in design reviews, and training our customers on the proper use of products.
* Identify for an e-vehicle application through testing and analyzing the results. Communicate results to customers through written reports, presentations and reviews at customer.
* Work on application solutions for products at OEMs and tiers enabling overall cost effective solution for the customer.
* Provide launch support for new programs by working with OEM & Tier launch teams, reviewing the process, & providing training to operators as necessary.
* Troubleshoot applications with issues by working with the OEM & Tier to identify the root cause & implement solute
* Building competitive value propositions for effective new product commercialization.
* Harnessing insights from customers and the competitive environment for future product development opportunities.
* Understand and apply regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Monitor competitive and industry trends for acoustic solutions in the engine compartment.
* Using modern communication techniques to exchange and provide information and trainings to customers.
* Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or higher from an accredited university.
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferred in the Automotive Industry.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferentially with Acoustic emphasis, or related discipline from an accredited university.
* Five (5) plus year experience working in the automotive industry (tier or OEM).
* Acoustic expertise combined with work experience in the e-vehicle market.
* Proficient in acoustic test methods and quality systems.
* Good understanding of CAD, desirable acoustic simulation tools.
* Experience in technical support activities with customers.
* Excellent organizational skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate changing circumstances.
* Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and proven ability to work effectively with customers globally.
* Strong people skills and ability to influence, collaborate, and work with cross-functional team.
* Self-directed and internally motivated with proven leadership skills.
* German and English fluent in word and writing
