If you share our values of respect, innovation, learning and collaboration, consider applying!PositionAbout the roleAs a Grants Officer, you will be part of the Grants Management team and report to the Director, Grants Management. You will support various ECF programmes with their strategic grant making and ensuring their effectiveness. You will ensure consistency of approach and compliance with the internal processes and serve as the liaison between the programmatic work, the Grantee partners, and other ECF central services teams, like the Legal, Risk & Compliance and Finance teams.Key responsibilitiesYou will support programmes with their daily grant making activities:

  • Carry-out due diligence reviews on new and existing grantees.
  • Generate and monitor grant requests in FLUXX, ECF’s grant management system.
  • Monitor budget and follow-up the grant contracting stage.
  • Support the country teams as well as the programmatic teams with their regranting budget planning and ensure reconciliation between planning budgets and the FLUXX system.
  • Provide support to Grantee partners throughout the grant life cycle.
  • Support with the administrative and financial review of grant reporting.
  • Handle grant payments in close relation with the Finance team
  • Monitor grant closing activities.
  • Support teams with usage of core systems and tools.
  • Other related administrative tasks related to the grant management process.

RequirementsExperience and competencies

  • You have 3-4 years of experience in an administrative and financial role.
  • You have a genuine interest in the ECF’s mission and values.
  • You pride yourself in delivering high quality output within ambitious timeframes.
  • You like to engage with various stakeholders, and you have a customer-oriented approach.
  • You possess excellent collaborative skills, understanding the importance and value of teamwork, and you are also comfortable working autonomously.
  • You have strong communication skills, with an excellent command of English and Spanish, enabling you to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of other languages are considered a strong added value.
  • You are computer literate with good knowledge of the MS Office and excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • You are comfortable working with new software.
  • You have some experience in budget oversight and planning.
  • Above all, you have a friendly and open personality.
