Job description: Due to internal movement, Pall Corporation in Bad Kreuznach are looking for an experienced Factory and Site Acceptance Technician (f/m/d). This is a really interesting role working 35 hours a week with a competitive salary and a company vehicle – the role includes a mix of travelling to customer sites and being based at the office (around 30% travel). You would be joining an experienced, friendly team, within Controls and Automation working in the specialist FAT team. Job Description Organization and implementation of Factory Acceptance Test and SAT (Site Acceptance Test). Preparing and performing FAT and SAT start up plants as well as systems at the Bad Kreuznach location and at customer sites. Test initial operation in FAT (mechanical, electrical, automation, functional), set system components and replace if necessary. Test commissioning in the SAT at the customer site. Responsibility for the FAT preparation and follow-up and initiating the necessary measures to remedy the underperformance. Recognize, diagnose, analyze and specify errors during the FAT, initiate corrective measures Resolve and document the technical condition of plants and systems. Active participation in the improvement (change) of the process for the implementation of FAT. Supervise and advise coordination of suppliers to ensure high delivery quality (quality, time and costs), advice and training of suppliers in order to keep the delivered quality of the sub-suppliers at a high level. Internal support (e.g. mechanics, electrics, Automation, etc.) with technical questions about the FAT and system. Qualifications / Experience: Must have a good level of electrical and automation experience (mechanical knowledge would be a bonus but not vital) Solid understanding of PLC systems (siemens, Allen Bradley or similar) Able to read P&ID drawings Willingness and flexibility to travel – 30% of the role will be spent at client sites Must have experience in the process industry – ideally someone who has come from the food and beverage industry Ideally based in or near Bad Kreuznach Good customer facing experience with strong communication skills.
