Job description: We are looking to expand our Structured Finance Team by adding an Executive Director as the company is ramping up and looking for new talents. We need experienced Analyst to join us to own the infrastructure and market, who knows how to do things right. This is a great job in a very dynamic company, with lots of room for growth. Therefore, this Executive Director acts as a mentor and provides an example to less experienced analysts.

Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Takes a leading role in the development of Scope’s analytical capabilities and methodologies
  • Supervises other analysts‘ development of methodologies
  • Suggests an applicable analytical approach, within the current methodological framework, for nonstandard and particularly complex transactions
  • Analyses and monitors, as a lead analyst, structured finance transactions to assign and maintain credit ratings on all types of structured finance instruments and asset classes
  • Chairs rating committees and approves publications of rating actions and monitoring notes
  • Takes part in other’s franchise’s rating committees
  • Acts as communication point-of-contact between Scope Ratings and clients when methodologies and analytical capabilities have to be explained
  • Conduct discussions with clients, investors, the media, and other market participants, as well as giving presentations, explanations, and briefings at a highly professional level
  • Either produces high-quality, insightful, and forward-looking research and analytical comments on a timely basis or more frequently lead and coach more junior analysts in producing high-quality, insightful, and forward-looking research in a timely manner
  • Approve research publications
  • Introduces colleagues to new topics and passes on knowledge within the team
  • Provides guidance to other team members to produce regular performance reports and analyses
  • Acts as formal manager and coaches and lead more junior analysts in order to increase the output of the team

Your professional and personal profile

  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in the structured finance sector or closely related sectors
  • Strong analytical skills either qualitative or quantitative or both, with a solid understanding of the financial market and credit
  • Extensive knowledge of most structured finance industry segments and geographical markets, including covered bonds as the case may be: (ABS, MBS, CLO), including asset, counterparty, and structural analysis, as well as cash flow modelling and documentation review
  • Clear and strong areas of expertise in particular analytical domains, such as research writing, quantitative modelling, legal analysis, credit etc.
  • High familiarity with European banking regulatory and legal frameworks
  • Good knowledge of the different legal frameworks for securitisation in the main European jurisdictions
  • Sound understanding and proficiency in the use of quantitative tools specific to the analysis of structured finance transactions including Scope’s internally developed ones
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Multi-cultural, collaborative, self-starter, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others to do the same
