Job description: We are looking for an Environmental and Energy Manager to our Honkalahti mill. The main purpose of this role is to manage the unit’s environmental and energy compliance to ensure continuity of the unit’s operation. In this role you will report to the Mill Director of Honkalahti mill.

As Environmental and Energy Manager, you are responsible for continuous improvement of energy efficiency, environmental performance and related reporting. Future digital energy steering development regarding energy, as well as assessment and management of environmental and energy aspects and risks are part of your responsibilities.
You will be in charge of the mills energy management system, environmental management system, general coordination of integrated management system and manage unit’s environmental law compliance and environmental permit.

In order to succeed in this role, you should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field containing studies in energy and environmental engineering. Experience in project management, continuous improvement of energy efficiency or environmental tasks in a production environment are considered as an advantage. Knowledge of and willingness to study environment and energy related laws and regulations, and previous experience on integrated management system (especially ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO50001) is valued.
We are looking for an analytical problem solver who works systematically and has willingness to take responsibility and commits to continuous improvement. With your teamwork and leadership skills you inspire and motivate others to participate and contribute. You have good knowledge of Finnish and English, both written and spoken, as well as excellent communication skills.
