About the team

Corporate Finance for Corporate Bank (CF CB) advises clients (strategic, institutional and private clients) on the structuring and execution of corporate and financing transactions. Its core task is to advise on the sale or acquisition of companies/parts of companies as well as on significant changes in the shareholder structure, the structuring of capital market and capital market-related financings, the support of strategic dialogues with relevant target clients as well as the origination and execution of corporate finance products (M&A, equity solutions, DCM, etc.).

Your key responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities include highly quantitative analyses and their implementation in client-ready solutions and documents

  • You will support the team in the origination of new mandates and in advising our clients: this includes procurement, analysis and preparation of market and company information, company analyses and valuations

  • You have a quick understanding of business models in different industries and support companies with strategic ideas

  • During the preparation and execution of transactions, you will be responsible for managing certain parts of the projects such as valuation and financing models, information memoranda, investor overviews and management presentations, always under the guidance of experienced colleagues

  • You discuss and justify your work results and have adequate communication and presentation skills (in German and English)

Your skills and experiences

  • Relevant work experience (at least 6-12 months) in corporate finance with a focus on M&A, equity solutions and/or DCM transactions, also as a result of relevant internships in an investment bank (M&A), corporate finance boutique, management consultancy, private equity or auditing / tax consulting (e.g. transaction services) as well as strong knowledge of company analysis and valuation as well as strategy analysis

  • University degree in economics, business administration (and engineering), law or similar with an international orientation and a focus on corporate finance and/or M&A

  • Very strong self-motivation and initiative

  • Structured working style, strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving approach

  • Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to prioritize, coupled with the ability to manage tasks in parallel

  • Team player, ability to work in interdisciplinary project teams and very good communication skills

  • Willingness to travel

  • Excellent German and English skills paired with very good presentation skills and professional MS Office, Factset and Bloomberg application skills
