With a fleet of 1.000+ vehicles, Indie Campers currently operates over 40 locations across Portugal, Spain, France, Italy (+ Sicily & Sardinia), Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Croatia and opening more destinations at any moment.

Following the path of expansion of Indie Campers‘ marketing team, we are hiring a Brand & Social Marketing Lead. As part of our Sales team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this role aligns analytical and creative skills with Sales drive and deep knowledge and experience in managing brands, social marketing channels and overall teams. The position is based in Indie Campers‘ HQ in Lisbon.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Brand & Social Marketing Lead with a clear growth-oriented mindset, who is inspired by Indie Campers‘ mission of democratizing road trips, enabling the freedom of movement and connecting travellers worldwide. Your commitment, problem-solving approach, market drive, people-orientation and proactivity will play a critical role in the achievement of high-performance results from sales, customer satisfaction and cost efficiency perspectives. You will be responsible for Key Performance Indicators within these three categories for the traffic acquisition channels you will develop and manage.

What you´ll do:

  • Define, develop and execute the business‘ brand strategy across all online and offline touchpoints (website, marketplace, internal platform, app, operational warehouses, campervans, rental equipment and much more);
  • Define, develop and execute the business‘ social media strategy across all currently used social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn) and new ones (Medium, TikTok and others);
  • Define, develop and execute the company’s community management strategy, giving voice to the supply and demand sides of the marketplace;
  • Own, improve and execute the company’s public profile strategy, promoting a seamless integration between the marketplace’s internal reviews and public reviews in platforms like Trustpilot, Facebook, Google and TripAdvisor, as well as the NPS rating per origin and destination markets;
  • Own, improve and execute the company’s visual content strategy (photographic, videographic), aligning it with the brand’s goals and preparing it to be promoted on multiple channels of distribution (website, blog, itineraries, PR, Social Media, YouTube, TV and more);
  • Write, edit and proofread content aligned with the company’s sales strategy (location-based content, blog content, itineraries, POIs, experiences, product pages), ensuring that the message always speaks to the target audience and is aligned with User Experience and Traffic Acquisition goals and brand guidelines;
  • Write and proofread compelling, accurate, and on-brand copy for Indie Campers‘ communication initiatives and UX needs;
  • Define, develop and execute the business‘ strategy for B2B partnerships with other brands with a growth and brand development mindset;
  • Own and master the company’s internal and external communication strategy;
  • Work on the ideation and development of promotional and branding campaigns to boost sales and brand awareness and recall;
  • Own the brand story across all channels, maintaining a consistent voice and vision and value proposition, assuring that the brand is correctly communicated at each touchpoint with the customer;
  • Regularly benchmark and track the brand’s notoriety and awareness across different channels against the competition in each market, holding responsibility for being number 1 across all key geographical markets;
  • Analyze, review and scrape competitors‘ social media and overall marketing strategies and tactics in order to benchmark activity on an ongoing basis;
  • Track and own the social media marketing performance across multiple web domains, platforms, geographies/markets and languages;

Who you´re:

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or any related field;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in branding, social media marketing and related channels;
  • Outstanding communication skills;
  • Extensive experience with planning and setting up the growth of a brand across all marketing channels and geographical markets;
  • Experience in social media management in a high-growth, fast-paced environment;
  • Deep content strategy skills across different markets and channels;
  • Amazing written, spoken and visual communication skills (experience and working proficiency in photo and video shooting and editing are a valued plus);
  • Great reporting and analytical skills to help create, track and evaluate KPIs;
  • Hard focus on real performance and not vanity metrics;
  • Experience in an environment of business expansion and/or internationalization;
  • Previous marketplace or OTA experience is a plus;
  • High levels of proactivity and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude (“get stuff done” mindset);
  • Fully proficient in English (native or equivalent level of proficiency)
  • Proficiency (or nativeness) in other languages is a valued plus (namely German);
  • EU work permit.
