Procedure for Blue Card Greece

EU Blue Cards are valid for two years. If your employment contract has a shorter term, then the EU Blue Card is of the corresponding term plus three extra months.

Members of your family may accompany you, under the precondition that you can provide for them financially. Family members’ residence permits are issued within six months after the applications are submitted and of the same duration as your own EU Blue Card.

How long will it take to get my Blue Card?

National law foresees that the maximum processing time for issuing a Blue Card in Greece is 90 days.

How long will my EU Blue Card be valid?

The standard period of validity in Greece is: Two years.

Specific rules: In Greece, the EU Blue Card is issued for a period of two years. If the employment contract is of shorter duration, the EU Blue Card shall be issued for the duration of the contract plus three months. The EU Blue Card can be renewed for a period of three years, unless the employment contract duration is shorter, in which case it will be renewed for the period of the employment contract plus three months.
