Working Student for Python Software Development (m/f/d)

We can offer you the following tasks

 

 

You will support our motivated team of data scientists to enable monitoring and optimization of the operation of our engines through the algorithmic evaluation of machine sensor data. As a team member in Group Digital, you contribute to the improvement and expansion of our digital portfolio and thus to the decarbonization of shipping. Working in our international, interdisciplinary and agile team offers you a lot of flexibility, especially with regard to mobile working.

 

Your main responsibilities in Python software development include:

 

• Revision of existing algorithms (e.g. adaptation to new infrastructure, package updates)
• Support in the development of new algorithms (e.g. data preparation, implementation in Python, deployment)
• Data exploration / analysis

 

The tools used on a daily basis include Gitlab, PyCharm, Jira, Confluence, AWS (e.g. Sagemaker Notebooks), Jenkins, and Neo4j. It is advantageous but not necessary to have experience with these technologies, as your colleagues will be happy to support you during the onboarding. You can help us with these qualifications

 

• Study of computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable
• Programming experience in Python
• Affinity for data
• Fluent English skills, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you can also speak and write German
• Independent and responsible way of working
• Good team and communication skills
• Knowledge in statistics and machine learning is advantageous
